This Sunday: All Saint's Day

On November 5, come to church dressed as your favorite saint. You can pick someone from the Bible, the history of the church, or even contemporary times. If you are looking for inspiration, head to lentmadness.org, an annual head-to-head matchup of Episcopal saints organized by Forward Movement Publications, or click here to check out the book "A Great Cloud of Witnesses".

Looking for a saint to dress up as this Sunday? We have some suggestions!

  • Love cats? Julian of Norwich's feast day of May 8
  • Interested in astronomy? Nicholaus Copernicus just joined the calendar in 2009.
  • Racism and Justice your thing? Frederick Douglas, Hariett Ross Tubman, and Martin Luther King Jr. are all on the list. So is Jonathon Myrick Daniels.
  • Love music? Johann Sebastian Bach is July 28. So is Kassia, the earliest female Byzantine composer known to history (Sep. 7)
  • Want to fight pirates in the Philippines? Check out Charles Brent
  • Love the beach? King Kamehameha and his wife Emma are both saints for their service to their people in Hawaii.

There are literally hundreds of possibilities from the Episcopal calendar of the saints--one is sure to inspire you, or choose one from your own personal calendar of people whose life and faith have touched your life.

See you Sunday, and have a blessed feast day of All Saints!

We hope everyone enjoyed a spooktacular Halloween.

This Tuesday, November 7 from 6:30-8pm, TYG will enjoy some fun and snacks together, completing the evening with prayers.

Also, be sure to come to youth group on next Tuesday, November 14, 6:30-8pm, when we will participate in Trinity’s cookie bake.  It will be an evening of guaranteed fun and creativity, as we decorate the infamous holiday cookies. Pizza dinner will be provided!

Church School
9:30 a.m. service

Church School is an important tradition for Trinity, and Rev. Rob. At the 9:30 a.m., young people come to the main sanctuary with their families, where a short children's homily is given by Rev. Rob shortly after the start of worship. Children then leave the sanctuary with Church School teachers, returning at The Peace. Childcare will be provided for infants and toddlers by Ms.Christine Angulo.

Cottage Dinners
with the Baldwins

Trinity Church is blessed with the arrival of Rob+ and his family, and everyone is looking forward to getting to know them and grow comradery and relationships in our church. To that end we are inviting the congregation to sign up to host a Cottage Dinner in their home with a few friends and the Baldwins. Cottage Dinners are usually prepared with minimal effort and time, so that the focus can be on relaxation and enjoying the company of friends and family. In McArthur Hall there is a signup sheet where you can pick a date to host a Cottage Dinner with the Baldwins. You would invite several friends to mutually provide a dinner at your home to welcome and spend quality time with the Rob, Mandy, and their children. As the dates fill up, we will continue to add more to the calendar, so please keep an eye on the sign-up sheet! Question? Contact Kim Laughlin at 215-718-3973 or kim@parkavepastries.com.

Episcopal Relief and Development

Episcopal Relief & Development stands with the brave staff of Al Ahli Hospital as they risk their lives to help others.

Please pray for peace in the Holy Land and consider making a contribution to the Episcopal Relief & Development Middle East Fund to help meet the growing needs of all people in the region.
